Welcome to Chickmate! — a dream realised and a tribute to the heart of New Lynn. Our story is one of perseverance, community, and passion, born right here on Margan Ave.
We've poured every ounce of dedication and love into transforming an eyesore into a beacon of deliciousness. From the challenges of managing our first construction project, overcoming design changes and navigating the impacts of COVID-19, this journey has been a labour of love, filled with life lessons, personal sacrifice and unwavering support from family and friends.
Chickmate! is more than just a place to eat; it’s a celebration of our neighbourhood's spirit. We've spent months perfecting our family recipe for pressure-fried chicken, ensuring every bite is seasoned to perfection. Our burgers feature buns that are baked fresh daily, an original recipe that took weeks to perfect. And our menu wouldn’t be complete without the addition of local delights like Kapiti ice cream and waffles.
Opening our doors is our way of giving back to the community that has supported us through thick and thin. We’re stoked to share our house-seasoned chicken, beef brisket burgers and a variety of tasty treats with you. As we embark on this new chapter, we ask for your patience and understanding as we find our rhythm.
